Stefanie Joosten is a Dutch actress, model and singer and is currently featured in the upcoming video game, Wanted: Dead, which will launch early next year, published by 110 Industries.
Before, she gained global recognition as the actor behind Quiet, the central female character in Konami's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain video game. Her singing can be heard on the game's original soundtrack, too, in the track "Quiet's Theme."
Next to the upcoming video game, Wanted: Dead, where she plays gunsmith Vivienne Niemantsverdriet, she features in Soulstice, where she voices two characters - the sisters Brirar and Lute.
For 'Singing to the Sky', Joosten teamed up with a group of music legends, headed by none other than Giorgio Moroder, who acted as Executive Producer on this album and wrote several of the tracks. The highly influential Italian composer, songwriter and producer has been credited with pioneering Euro disco and electronic dance music, earning three Academy Awards and four Golden Globes for his work, as well as over 100 Golden and Platinum discs worldwide.
'Singing to the Sky' started life when Joosten and Moroder combined forces, working on a track for the upcoming game Vengeance is Mine (slated for 2024). The collaboration proved so fruitful, it led to plans for a full album of pop music.
In addition to Moroder, ‘Singing in the Sky’ also features work from Pete Bellotte and Tom Whitlock, famous for their work with Donna Summer, Berlin, Blondie, David Bowie, Irene Cara, and Janet Jackson.
Drummer Matt Sorum (Guns ‘n Roses) and legendary blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd also feature in several tracks. Additionally, the record is mixed by Dave Way, famous for his work with Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Mick Jagger and the Foo Fighters and mastered by Howie Weinberg, who has 21 Grammy awards and is known for his work with Nirvana, Aerosmith, Beastie Boys, Cheap Trick and Run-DMC, amongst others. The album is produced by Raney Shockne and Sergei Kolobashkin and published by 110 Industries.
The vinyl album is distributed by Cook and Becker exclusively through this website. Pre-orders start today, with the album expected to ship from December 1st 2022 onwards. Click this link to find the product page for details.
