CD PROJEKT RED, established in 2002, is a Polish video game developer located in Warsaw (its headquarters), and Kraków. The studio found an international audience through their The Witcher games, a role-playing game series based on the popular books by famed Polish fantasy writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Their immense popularity gave CD PROJEKT RED a platform to promote other (lesser known and older) RPG games as well, while the strength of the The Witcher brand breathed life into the digital card game Gwent. The studio is currently working on the open world RPG Cyberpunk 2077, a video game based on popular tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.
