Although Sarah Kerrigan had been a character in the first StarCraft game, and while her face and dreadlocks adorned the box art for StarCraft: Brood War, Blizzard artists had never really drawn a full-size portrait of her until development on Wings of Liberty began in earnest. Artist Joe Peterson sketched the first concepts, Wei Wang took these and truly immortalized the Zerg queen in this iconic piece.
