Marshes
'Marshes' is an official concept artwork used by Bethesda Game Studio's for Fallout 4. The image was made by Senior Concept Artist Ilya Nazarov. This limited edition Certified Art Gicleeâ„¢ print is part of the official Fallout 4 fine art collection by Cook & Becker and Bethesda Softworks. The print is hand-numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
The art work on Fallout 4 was a team effort, with a key team of artists working on the concepts for the game, and a host of others to fill in the details or model and animate the designs. These marches, painted by Ilya Nazarov, would set the tone for some of the swamp areas we find in Fallout 4. Nazarov applied a couple of 'ground rules' in this art piece, general design features applicable to any scenery outside of human settlements. First: every living green plant is a post-nuclear mutation. Second: every scene has the melancholic beauty of a late fall day in the wider (actual) Boston area. Enhancing the general tone and atmosphere are the large silhouettes of ships you see in the fog in the background.
