Prydwen
'Prydwen' is an official concept artwork used by Bethesda Game Studio's for Fallout 4. The image was made by Senior Concept Artist Ray Lederer. This limited edition Certified Art Gicleeâ„¢ print is part of the official Fallout 4 fine art collection by Cook & Becker and Bethesda Softworks. The print is hand-numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
Looking at Fallout 4's general aesthetic in vehicles, the Prydwen airship feels a bit off. There's nothing of the sleek 1950's automotive designs we find in the game's cars, no tailfins, rocket silhouettes or chrome strips. Instead, the Prydwen is more steampunk than Space Age, more scrapyard than hotrod workshop. This, of course, has everything to do with its history. Built by the Brotherhood of Steel after the destruction of the Great War, the airship is literally built from scrap. And who needs chrome and a sleek aesthetic in an airborne military base anyway?
