Red Earth
The island of Madagascar is one of the key locations in video game Uncharted 4 in the search for the pirate treasure of Captain Avery. The artists at Naughty Dog tried a range of different looks for Madagascar’s unique landscape. From lush and full scenes to dry and arid places, the distinctive granite boulders and intense-looking red earth provided *cough* fertile ground for the artists to explore the scenery. As per usual, an Uncharted 4 game character – in this case Nathan Drake himself - was inserted for scale. This image was made by Naughty Dog’s concept artist Nick Gindraux.

Naughty Dog
If there is one thing that defines the output of American developer Naughty Dog - founded in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, in 1986 - it is their cinematic style of video game storytelling.
