Antananarivo Car Chase
The Madagascar capital Antananarivo, known for the steep slopes of the hills, its heart-shaped lake, its colorful people and lively urban markets, fits Uncharted 4 like a glove. Naughty Dog artists like Nick Gindraux, who drew the 'Car Chase' image, had good fun bringing 'an almost campy feel' to the Madagascar chase sequence of the script, and went all out: chickens are clucking as cars race by, boxes drop from trucks as they hit road bumps, and people take chaotic runs as our heroes and their pursuers chase through the streets. Several vehicles were tried in the concept phase to catch the vibe of old action movies. Early concepts show Nathan Drake stealing a motorbike (and had him in pursuit, rather than being pursued), yet nothing quite screams 'Antananarivo car chase' as this classic Citroën 2CV at full speed.
