Masaya Matsuura
Masaya Matsuura (松浦 雅也, Matsuura Masaya -born June 16, 1961) is a musician and video game designer based in Tokyo, Japan. He majored in Industrial Society at Ritsumeikan University. Matsuura-san has worked extensively with music and images throughout his career.
He was part of J-Pop band, PSY • S (サイズ) (or PSYCHOLOGICAL S) and was the first Japanese musician ever to release a CD-Rom. Masaya Matsuura has also been credited with inventing the modern music video game with Vib Ribbon and Parappa the Rapper. The latter game he developed with his studio NanaOn-Sha and illustrator Rodney Alan Greenblat.
